Freshdesk pricing in 2026: plans, Freddy AI sessions and real totals for 3, 5 and 10 agents

Seat prices are the small part. Here is what 3, 5 and 10 agents really pay on Freshdesk and Omni once Freddy sessions, Copilot and day passes are added, with the arithmetic.

Five agents on Freshdesk Omni Growth, with a chat AI that handles 1,000 conversations a month, pay $390 in their first month on annual billing and $635 every month after. The seats are $145 of that. The rest is Freddy, the AI agent, whose 500 free sessions are a one-time grant, not a monthly one. That one fact is why Freshdesk pricing is so often misquoted.

This guide prices Freshdesk, Freshdesk Omni and Freshchat for teams of 3, 5 and 10 agents, with and without the AI, on monthly and annual billing. Every number is from Freshworks' own pricing pages and help center, checked October 21, 2026, in US dollars before tax, and every sum is shown. We make Talvo, a competing product, and it gets one short section near the end. For the full list of options, see Freshdesk alternatives.

The bill for 3, 5 and 10 agents

Start with seats, because that's what the pricing cards show. Freshworks charges per agent per month, and the cards have an annual/monthly toggle that reads "Save 20% Annually." The monthly prices render once you click it.

Plan, per agent a monthAnnualMonthly
Freshdesk Growth$19$23
Freshdesk Pro$55$66
Freshdesk Enterprise$89$107
Freshdesk Omni Growth$29$35
Freshdesk Omni Pro$79$95
Freshdesk Omni Enterprise$119$143

Multiplied out, seats only, annual billing then monthly:

Plan3 agents5 agents10 agents
Freshdesk Growth$57 / $69$95 / $115$190 / $230
Freshdesk Pro$165 / $198$275 / $330$550 / $660
Freshdesk Enterprise$267 / $321$445 / $535$890 / $1,070
Omni Growth$87 / $105$145 / $175$290 / $350
Omni Pro$237 / $285$395 / $475$790 / $950
Omni Enterprise$357 / $429$595 / $715$1,190 / $1,430

Those figures are seats and nothing else. The AI, Copilot, voice and day passes come on top. The sections below add each one.

Freshdesk, Omni and Freshchat: which product are you pricing?

Freshworks sells two support desks with separate ladders. Freshdesk is positioned as email-first; the Growth card reads "Launch AI-powered service over email." Freshdesk Omni is the multichannel version, sold on its own page. The Freshworks help center puts it in one line: "Freshdesk Omni is the multichannel product. Freshdesk is the email-first product." Freshchat is a third product, for chat and messaging, with its own plans and a Free tier.

That matters for AI. Freshdesk's page lists only an Email AI Agent. The help center marks the Chat AI Agent as Freshdesk Omni only. So if you want a bot answering on your website, you're pricing Omni or Freshchat, not plain Freshdesk. The Omni page doesn't list which messaging channels each tier includes, so confirm that before you commit.

Freshchat's own ladder, per agent a month:

Freshchat planAnnualMonthlyNotes
Free$0$0Up to 10 agents, no Freddy AI
Growth$19$23Freddy AI, Facebook, Instagram, SMS, WhatsApp, LINE, Google Business Messages
Pro$49$59Multilingual (45+ languages), round-robin assignment, multiple SLA policies
Enterprise$79$95Skill-based assignment, audit logs, IP allowlisting

What each plan adds, briefly

Growth covers ticketing, a shared inbox, a customer portal and knowledge base, automations, standard analytics, role-based access, SAML SSO, and the Freddy AI Agent with 500 sessions to start. Pro adds multiple SLA policies, round-robin and load-balanced assignment, multiple business-hours schedules, a multilingual help desk, custom dashboards and 5,000 collaborators, and it's the first plan where you can buy Copilot. Enterprise adds skill-based assignment, Freddy AI Insights, audit logs, IP allowlisting, a sandbox and JWT authentication.

Omni adds omnichannel support on top, a Command Center on every tier, and bring-your-own-channel and bring-your-own-telephony on Pro and Enterprise. Freshworks lists other Growth items in its page data, such as SLA management and 24x5 phone support, but not in the rendered compare table, so confirm those before relying on them.

Freddy AI Agent: 500 free sessions, then $49 per 100

This is where most budgets go wrong. Freddy AI Agent comes with 500 free sessions on Growth, Pro and Enterprise. The FAQ says "This is limited to once per account." After that it's $49 per 100 sessions, about $0.49 each, on both monthly and annual billing. Freshworks' own help article says "Each session pack includes 100 sessions and costs $49."

What a session is, in Freshworks' words: "A session is a unique interaction between an end-user and an AI Agent."

  • Chat: all interactions within 24 hours from session start count as one session. The help center marks the Chat AI Agent as Freshdesk Omni only.
  • Email: a 72-hour window starting from the customer's first email. All AI responses in that window count as a single session.

A few mechanics. You can buy any number of packs. Pack validity follows your payment cycle, so packs bought on quarterly billing expire quarterly. Auto-recharge triggers when your balance falls below a threshold (the default is 50 sessions), and it's only available with online payment methods. If you see "$100 per 1,000 sessions" on an older page, that's stale.

The definition counts interactions, not outcomes. Freshworks doesn't say in words whether a session is billed if the AI fails or hands off, so we won't claim it does. What we can say is that a session is counted per interaction window, not per resolution. In our own reading, a chat that the AI couldn't answer still opened a session, which is why we price the sessions rather than the resolutions below.

The same teams, month 1 versus month 3

We assumed each AI-handled conversation is one session (one chat inside 24 hours, one email thread inside 72), with 300, 1,000 and 3,000 sessions a month for teams of 3, 5 and 10. Those volumes are our assumption, not a Freshworks figure. The table uses Omni Growth, the cheapest plan with a chat AI, and shows annual billing, then monthly.

3 agents, 300 sessions5 agents, 1,00010 agents, 3,000
Seats$87 / $105$145 / $175$290 / $350
Month 1, Freddy after 500 free0 sessions to buy: $0500 left = 5 packs, $2452,500 left = 25 packs, $1,225
Month 1 total$87 / $105$390 / $420$1,515 / $1,575
Steady state, Freddy3 packs, $14710 packs, $49030 packs, $1,470
Steady-state total$234 / $252$635 / $665$1,760 / $1,820

Team A's free pool lasts a bit under two months: 500 free sessions cover month 1 (300) and 200 of month 2, so month 2 buys one pack ($49) and month 3 buys three ($147). Team B burns the free pool in the first month, and Team C in the first week. If your AI traffic is smaller, say 5 agents and 200 sessions a month on annual billing, seats are $145, Freddy is free for two and a half months, and then it adds 200 × $0.49 = $98, for $243.

What a session costs per resolved conversation

Sessions are a poor guide to what you get. If the AI resolves 30%, 50% or 70% of the conversations it touches, the effective price of each resolved conversation is $0.49 divided by that rate:

AI resolution rateCost per resolved conversation
30%$1.63
50%$0.98
70%$0.70

Those percentages are examples, not Freshworks figures (Freshworks' page claims Freddy can "deflect up to 86% of customer requests," which is marketing, not a benchmark). Measure your own. At 1,000 sessions and a 50% rate, you pay $490 for 500 resolved conversations, about $0.98 each. Our guide to AI resolution rate explains how to count it.

  1. Count conversationsPull last month's chats and email threads that an AI would have touched.
  2. Convert to sessionsOne per chat inside 24 hours, one per email thread inside 72, so a customer returning the next day is a new chat session.
  3. Subtract 500 onceThe free grant covers your first months only, not every month.
  4. Round up to packs$49 per 100, so 1,001 sessions needs 11 packs.

Copilot, day passes and the other add-ons

Freddy AI Copilot helps agents rather than customers. It costs $29 per agent per month on annual billing and $35 monthly, and it's an add-on on Pro and Enterprise only, not Growth. It includes sentiment analysis, a response assistant, live translation in 60-plus languages, summarization and a resolution assistant. You can buy it for any number of agents.

Pro plus Copilot, seats only, for the three teams (annual / monthly): Omni Pro at $79 plus $29 is $108 per agent, so 3 agents are $324 annual (3 × $79 + 3 × $29) and $390 monthly (3 × $95 + 3 × $35), 5 agents are $540 / $650 and 10 agents are $1,080 / $1,300. Add Freddy sessions on top. Freddy AI Insights is Enterprise only, with no separate price.

Day passes let an extra person work for one day, per agent per day. They aren't available for Copilot.

ProductGrowthProEnterprise
Freshdesk and Freshchat$2$7$12
Freshdesk Omni$5$10$15

Two extra people for a five-day peak on Omni Pro are 2 × 5 × $10 = $100, which beats two Omni Pro seats at $190 a month on monthly billing, though not if you need them every week.

Everything else:

  • Connector app tasks: $80 per 5,000 tasks.
  • MCP actions: each plan includes 1,200 (Growth), 6,000 (Pro) or 12,000 (Enterprise) a year, then $15 per 1,000-action pack.
  • Freshchat campaign contacts: 100 a month on Free, 500 on paid plans, then $100 a month per 5,000.
  • Voice through Freshcaller is sold separately, per agent a month: Growth $15 annual / $18 monthly, Pro $39 / $47, Enterprise $69 / $83.
  • Collaborators: 5,000 included on Pro and Enterprise only.

Freshworks accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Amex only, with no PayPal. Billing cycles can be monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual, and the pricing pages show monthly and annual. Canceling has no fee but takes effect at the end of the term, and so do downgrades.

Is there still a free Freshdesk plan?

Not a permanent one. The pricing pages show no free card, and the trial is 14 days on Enterprise; when it ends without a purchase, the account is suspended. But Freshworks documents a Free program in its help center (last modified September 22, 2026): up to two agents, free for six months, Freshdesk only and not available in Omni. After six months you need a paid plan, and once you upgrade you can't switch back. You activate it under Admin, Plans and Billing, Switch plan. It covers ticketing across email and social, ticket dispatch, a knowledge base, a ticket trend report, analytics, data-center choice and 24x5 email support.

So "Freshdesk is free for 10 agents" is wrong today. The 10-agent free plan that does exist is Freshchat's, and it has no AI. Third parties report that the old free tier was cut from ten agents to two in 2024 and shut down for old accounts in 2025, but Freshworks' own pages don't confirm either date, so don't rely on them.

One more stale number: Freshworks' own search description still says Freshdesk pricing starts at $15, while the cheapest card is $19.

Freshdesk, Omni and Freshchat
Where it's strong
  • Entry seats from $19 per agent a month, and Freshchat Free for up to 10 agents
  • A real ticketing system with portal, knowledge base, SLAs and automations
  • SAML SSO and a long compliance list, including SOC 2 Type 2
Watch out for
  • Three overlapping products, with plain Freshdesk lacking a chat AI
  • Freddy bills per session, and the 500 free sessions are one-time
  • Copilot starts at Pro and costs $29 to $35 per agent on top
  • Packs expire with your payment cycle

Freshdesk or Zendesk, and what Talvo costs

A common question is whether Freshdesk is cheaper than Zendesk. At the entry level they match: Zendesk's email-only Support Team is also $19 per agent annually. Once you add chat, Zendesk moves to Suite Team at $55 annual, against Omni Growth at $29, and Zendesk's AI resolutions cost $1.50 to $2.00 after a small allowance. Our Zendesk pricing post has the full grid.

Talvo prices the workspace instead. We priced the same three teams on the cheapest plan with enough teammate seats, counting 60% of the conversations above as resolutions (180, 600 and 1,800), which is our assumption. Extras are $0.49 each past the included 100, 500 or 2,000.

3 agents5 agents10 agents
Resolutions1806001,800
Talvo, annualStarter $39 + 80 × $0.49 = $78.20Growth $119 + 100 × $0.49 = $168Scale $249
Talvo, monthlyStarter $49 + $39.20 = $88.20Growth $149 + $49 = $198Scale $299
Omni Growth steady state, annual / monthly$234 / $252$635 / $665$1,760 / $1,820

Talvo's rate matches Freddy's per unit, so the difference is the unit: Talvo counts only conversations the AI answered end to end from a published article, and a hand-off is never billed. The honest gaps: Talvo is in beta with no reviews, has no WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram, Messenger or phone, no customer ticket portal, no SOC 2 report, SAML SSO or HIPAA, and no marketplace of apps. Before you buy Freshdesk
  • Decide whether you need chat AI, which means Omni or Freshchat rather than plain Freshdesk
  • Estimate sessions a month, then subtract the one-time 500 free
  • Check whether you'd need Pro for Copilot, round-robin or multiple SLAs
  • Add day passes, voice and connector tasks if you'll use them
  • Pick monthly or annual billing; monthly is about 20% more per seat

Frequently asked questions

Does Freshdesk have a free plan in 2026?

Not a permanent one. The pricing pages show no free card, but Freshworks documents a Free program for Freshdesk only (not Omni): up to two agents, free for six months, after which you need a paid plan. Freshchat, the separate chat product, has a Free plan for up to 10 agents without Freddy AI.

How much is Freshdesk per agent?

Freshdesk is $19 (Growth), $55 (Pro) and $89 (Enterprise) per agent a month on annual billing, or $23, $66 and $107 on monthly billing. Freshdesk Omni, which adds chat and other channels, is $29, $79 and $119 annual, or $35, $95 and $143 monthly.

Is monthly billing more expensive than annual?

Yes. The pricing toggle reads Save 20% Annually, and each tier costs more monthly: Freshdesk Growth is $23 against $19, Pro $66 against $55 and Enterprise $107 against $89 per agent. Freshworks also lists quarterly and half-yearly billing cycles, without prices on the pricing pages.

What is a Freddy AI Agent session, and how long does one last?

Freshworks defines a session as a unique interaction between an end user and an AI Agent. On chat, all interactions within 24 hours of the session start count as one session; on email, a 72-hour window from the customer's first email counts as one. Sessions are counted per interaction window, not per resolution.

Are the 500 free Freddy sessions monthly?

No. Freshworks says the 500 free sessions on Growth, Pro and Enterprise are limited to once per account. After they are used, Freddy costs $49 per 100 sessions, about $0.49 each, on monthly and annual billing alike.

How much does Freddy Copilot cost, and is it on Growth?

Freddy AI Copilot is $29 per agent a month on annual billing or $35 on monthly billing. It is an add-on on Pro and Enterprise only, so it is not available on Growth, and day passes can't be used for it.

What's the difference between Freshdesk and Freshdesk Omni pricing?

Freshdesk is the email-first product and Omni is the multichannel one, with its own price ladder $10 to $36 higher per agent a month, depending on tier and billing. Freshworks' help center marks the Chat AI Agent as Omni only, while plain Freshdesk lists an Email AI Agent.

What does a Freshdesk day pass cost?

Day passes are per agent per day. On Freshdesk they are $2 (Growth), $7 (Pro) and $12 (Enterprise), and on Freshdesk Omni they are $5, $10 and $15. Day passes are not available for Freddy AI Copilot.
